Welcome to Willowdell's German Shepherds!
Our kennel is located in Northwestern Ontario in a small town called Dryden. It is halfway between Winnipeg, MB and Thunder Bay, ON. We live on a peaceful 240 acre piece of property with rolling hills, ponds, fields and wooded area.
German Shepherds are our passion. We are a home based kennel and participate in confirmation and obedience. Our dogs live indoors with us and are a part of our family, meaning where we go, they go.
We believe on the more time and exposure you give to your shepherd the more love and trust they will give you in return.
I am a member of good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club and German Shepherd Club of Manitoba.
My love for shepherds began with my husbands first shepherd as a teenage boy. " Mandy the 5th CD ". She was so beautiful, smart and loyal. We bought our first shepherd together in May 2004 and named her Cheyanne also know as " Mistiques Mood Indigo ". With her beauty and eager to please attitude, we decided to add to our shepherd family. In July 2004 we purchased a puppy from the well known Canisphere Kennels. We named this special puppy that was full of life and too smart for her own good Dixie.
Over the past few years we have learned a lot and have achieved championships and obedience titles on our dogs.

Recent News
February 1, 2025: 2 Puppies Available
We currently have 2 females left from this recent fall 2024 litter (Pink & Orange), both DM clear, vet checked and ready for their forever homes! Both the girls have had many adventures to socialize them and to introduce them to new things both inside and outside that they may encounter day to day in their new future homes. They've also recently slowly started crate training during the work days and to sleep at night, and are doing great with it! If you're interested in one of these girls, or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Also be sure you've explored our website to read our reservation process and the guarantees for all of our puppies and dogs.
January 12, 2025: Puppies Are 8 Weeks & Ready For Homes!
The puppies are now 8 weeks old and ready for their new homes. We have 2 getting ready to leave today, and 1 during next week. There's still have 2 females available from this litter fall 2024 litter (Pink & Orange). If you're interested or have any questions, please contact us.
January 7, 2025: Puppies First Vet Appointment
The puppies had a full experience today as it was their first vet appointments. Today they were weighed, had a full physicals exam, wormed and also vaccinated. All 5 puppies were given a clean bill of health and noted to be large healthy puppies.
November 23, 2024: Chance found a placement :)
We're so very happy to announce that Chance has found a wonderful home with a very loving family. Chance will be absolutely spoiled, have lots of outdoor space to play and also be with 3 other dogs for lots of company. We're excited to watch him grow into a handsome boy and gain confidence in his new forever home.

November 17, 2024: Successful Delivery
We're thrilled about the successful delivery of 5 healthy puppies today, 3 females and 2 males. Shae is being a fantastic mom again, and we're excited to watch this litter grow. November 9, 2024: AVAILABLE for Placement - 8 Month Old Male Black and Tan Puppy - Willowdell's Dragonheart: Chance.
Unfortunately the purple male from our spring 2024 litter has come back to our home. At no fault of his own, "Chance" has come back to our home due to a breakdown in his family and they were unable to continue to care for him. Chance was born March 6, 2024, is now just over 8 months old and still very much a silly puppy. He's smart, sweet, goofy, playful and eager to learn. He's been great with all our dogs at the home, the cats indoors and various of our outdoor farm animals.
As mentioned, Chance is very smart, knows commands of sit, down, stay, come and is currently working on many more. Chance is looking for his forever home with experienced handlers that can give him a constant routine and confidence as he grows into a handsome adult. We welcome any and all question about this sweet boy as we are eager to find him a loving and committed family. If you're interested in this puppy, please contact us.
October 2024: Successful Breeding
We're excited to announce the successful breeding between our CAN CH Willowdell's Mother of Dragons "Shae" OFA Excellent/Normal, DM Clear and Veleno Vom Elhart "Jerry Lee" OFA Good/Normal, DM Clear. We're expecting puppies coming in Mid November 2024. Please check back for further updates!
